Since I was so displeased with my first attempt at painting a tarantula hawk, I decided to try again, working exactly off photo reference. I did a little better this time, but I still haven't done the gorgeous wing color justice. I also did not do that flower well at all.

It looks wonderful so far. If you really want to give the wings some of that glitter, you can just add a few white and yellow dots. That might help give more definition. You can do a few light hues on some of its limbs (make sure they're spotty-looking)
